A hand-sculpted glass interpretation of a small plastic water bag containing a single Swedish Fish candy. The bag is hot sculpted in clear glass, carefully shaped to replicate the thin folds and distortions of flexible plastic under the weight of water. Suspended inside is a Swedish Fish candy created out of ceramic and finished with enamel to reproduce the familiar translucent red appearance of the confection.
Each sculpture is individually fabricated by the artist. Variations in the fish details, folds of the bag and optical distortions are inherent to the process and make each example unique.
